Which parts of Brexit does this idea solve?
All Scenarios
Idea Overview:
The question is: how do we have an open border with Ireland and at the same time take control of our borders with the EU?
Often it is best to question the question. How did we get here? Why did parliament put an option on a ballot paper that wasn't possible?
The answer is for every politician who voted to hold the 2016 referendum to apologise for misleading the public. They could donate some of their salaries to charity and go on training courses in Irish and Scottish history as well as EU politics and law.
Oh, and simply withdraw article 50.
I realise this answer breaks the rules of the competition but I have often found success in my work life by refusing to answer the question posed because it doesn't lead to the best outcome.
