What – if any – feedback have you had for this idea so far?:
This was back in 2016 that it was fantastic idea and it was a mother who lost her baby in late monents of his life wanted to comfort him and be with him 24.7 didn't want to leave his side wanting to play things that were personal and be familiar sounds and choose a toy that played things that weren't repetitive/ annoying!!! It's be like time capsule?... Data collector?... For kids who stuck in hospital bed to stay in contact and still be learning educational benefits too that would be a brilliant idea space saver too!!! Wow I want one now... Sounds amazing could do with one of them!!! I'd be glad to get my phone back! Swap for this to entertain her!!!

It’s a great concept, but unfortunately it’s pretty hard to do in practice. Essentially you’re talking about a small computer, and that involves quite a bit of hassle.

Physically, you need to configure it for each new WiFi network; you have to charge it repeatedly; and after a couple of years take it apart to replace the battery. The computer needs an operating system, you have to think hard about security and privacy, and above all it must have interesting software. Generally, hardware manufacturers rely on third-party software developers (who focus their efforts where there’s the biggest volume of sales).

And you have to compete against multinational companies. In fact, one reason I’m confident it’s a great concept is because Amazon are working on something similar – the Echo Dot Kids’ Edition is an Alexa-powered device with a tiger or panda face, for $60.

Since hardware manufacture is such a hard work, have you considered using your ideas as designs for software, to run on an Echo Dot?

Nice concept Donna. Congratulations on a great idea. I can see it going places, especially for the busy stay-at-home mom or nursery nurse. It appears you have a prototype but needs fine-tuning for the mass market along the lines of what Mark said. Also, will need to find a backer with deep pockets and connections, same issues I face.

This however can be made basic Bluetooth connection star shaped speaker that vibrates and lights up that can waterproof shockproof, with a silicone textured sleeve that fits over for soothing babies teething pains. Also adapts to a plush cushion with different texture fabrics materials comforts for nap time. Grab on the toy that you control to suit your babies/child’s needs and wants.

I like the direction you’ve taken with this idea. Are those solfeggio frequencies you spoke off? There’s a lot that can be done with those.

Hi Janet yes there’s a few that can be healing with light sound frequencies.
