I really love this idea, especially in light of the recent cases of children literally beaten to death. This gadget would be really nice to have, provided the evidence will be allowed as evidence.
As a black person, I can also see how black people could benefit from having this gadget to provide evidence of racism, brutality, injustice and the like. This innovator deserves all the support she can get.

It can be very useful for if toy/device…child / adult …goes missing can be tracked .

In the light of recent tragic stories, this is a great idea. I can see privacy issues arising, along with the acceptability of recordings in criminal cases; however, I can imagine someone like the Home Office in the UK being a useful source for potential information as well as the first client.

One of the key areas that this could be a challenge is based around your country or regions “wiretap laws”. There is specific regulatory and compliance if the recorded audio is potentially subject to becoming court evidence. I’m not sure what the local wiretap laws are in your area, but I would definitely assess if the recording part is even feasible since in many countries and regions the laws usually specify a combination of the following conditions for compliance:
1) Any recording in public made of private citizens require notification to that individual that they are being recorded (think in terms of why CCTV requires notification to customers at the front of the store upon entry)
2) (Typically) Recorded parties often need to express explicit or implied (at minimum) approval of being recorded (store analogy again – upon entering the store after obvious notification of CCTV in front, the customer has in a legal sense acknowledged or consented to being recorded).
I don’t know if the recording part is a key or primary feature or offering of your startup, but it’s definitely a cool idea. Cheers!

I believe the idea has merit but as has been pointed out, there is the very concerning issue with privacy and privacy laws. Just as important is the issue of hacking. If the recording mechanism is not self contained and recording are live via wireless method, the privacy issue and potential harm due to the subject being a child, increases exponentially. I think quite a bit more thought has to go into this.

Thank you Mario working on it π
