Idea Overview:
One of the major annoyances and politically toxic, problems is NHS parking charges. People feel it is unfair to be charged fpr visiting a place they'd far rather be anywhere but. The NHS loses billions of £s and millions of hours due to over crowded car parks delaying patients wqhist they try and finds a parking space - a change to pay for it. Why not you instant number recognition tech to allocate visitor numbered parking slots for pre booked periods?
Who might use it/where it might be used?:
1. Patient goes to hospital portal/app 2. Books appointment 3, portal confirms date and time and requests a car registration 5. on entering the hospital estate NPR recognises the patient's registration and raises gate 5. Patient parks in alloted space near to clinic or ward, goes for treatment or visit. 6. when it is time to leave, patient drives out, NPR registers departure and lists the parking space available to the next patient.

The great thing about linking it to an appointment is that the NHS can allocate the space to a parking fund. Would you crowdfund parking spaces for cancer patients or paediatric appointments?
