My idea is an underwear brand that produces side opening boxer shorts. The side opening is designed to make the wearing of boxers more comfortable.
Who might use it/where it might be used?:
The product can be worn by anyone, however it is specifically made for less abled men. There is an equivalent boxer brief for the women's market, which has the same side opening compartment.

Why you think there is a demand for your idea?:
What I am trying to build is a bespoke, yet simple underwear brand that is designed specifically for less abled individuals. Similar products exist in the market, however my goal is to make this underwear to retailers.
Who would be the ideal customers?:
My ideal customer base is men between the ages of 49 and 67, and older men between the ages of 68 and 79. The customer ideally would have some form of physical disability.
What ideas do you have to reach these customers?:
My idea is to advertise my brands products in a SAGA magazine. The magazine appeals to the future demographic that I am targeting. I would communicate with my customers using the brands website.
How far have you developed this idea?:
The product has been designed. There is a viable prototype. Due to budgeting, there is only 1 prototype currently. product testing needs to get underway.
What – if any – feedback have you had for this idea so far?:
Many people I have spoken to understand the concept behind my product. It has mostly been given good feedback as a concept.
