Idea Overview:
Entry Category: Visual Art
'The true colors of paper money' is layered into three parts:
- the blank canvas with toilet paper on one side, same color, seems unimportant;
- a sort of pedestal made from papier-mâché (pieces of egg boxes dipped in water), showing the cracks and the canvas behind. This 'cracked layer' switches color as soon as it touches money (faded);
- the crumpled bills, seem like the most important part of the image (color, drawing...) but is quite similar to the other layers - it is only Paper.
